Fun trips with my petsitter...

Mom is working long hours again-today she worked a 15 hour day. But I'm really lucky to have my petsitter who takes me to the park, the tennis courts-anywhere I can play with a ball!!

CATTLE!

I got to herd sheep and cattle yesterday! Mom got home from work at 2:30am and woke up at 7am so we could make it to Phelan to herd sheep. When we got there we noticed the Cattle in the small pen. First up, Mom and Steve took me in on my leash to see what I would do with the sheep. I showed alot of interest in the cattle. i was lunging at them and barking at them.

When we came out of the cattle pen, I went into the big field to work my sheep. We worked on outruns, inside flanks and driving....then I got to go back into the round pen with the cattle. This time I was on a longer line and I was able to nip the heels of the cattle! I think mom had a really good time!!! My traineSteve, thought I was a really good cattle dog!!! I loved it!

Monday Fun!

It was super windy all day yesterday and today. We had lots of trees fall over and loads of palm tree "leaves" fall.....they are BIG!

Ocean trails with mom

yes mom took me on a trail run tonight! And I chased BUNNIES!!!! They are always out around sunset! We ran for almost 2 hours...of course we had walk breaks and then play time on the beach with a busted tennis ball i found and then water breaks but we were on the go almost the entire time!

I got to smell lots of things on our run and I met a few really nice little doggies!!! It was a nice day! Now I'm napping!!!!

Whap!

mom had a very busy long week...

but she made time for me when she had time and on the weekend! She worked over 70 hours this week but was able to take me on runs 4 days this week and to play at the park with my jolly ball. My friend Grace has been staying with us-her mommy is out of town. And today I went sheep herding. I was working on penning in the open field. Mom and I were getting the knack of it!

It's time for me to go to bed now. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to visit all my friends. My mom visits for me from her blackberry at work...so that I don't lose touch with my friends!

Wordless Wednesday a day late!

Monday.....

Hi! Mom was working again today! But that never stops me from having fun! I get to go to the park every day! I think I'm one of the luckiest dogs!!!

I hope all my doggie friends had a wonderful monday! Mom is home now and we're going to bed!! Good night!

it's Jolly Ball Time.....

JOLLY BALL! Yes my mom took me to the park today to play with my jolly ball! She ran in a trail race this morning-and I couldn't join her-so she felt guilty about leaving me at home so i got special play time at the park! I think my mom really loves me!!

A long week for mom...

Mom had a very long week! She worked long hours and into the wee hours of the morning but she made time for me this week-we went for runs in the sunshine and rain, walks around the park with geese and ducks and ball time. And when mom was working, my petsitter took me to the park when the weather was nice and to the tennis courts when it rained!!

But today, it's Saturday and that means the weekend! The weekend is the time I get to spend all day with mom! She and I went sheep herding today! We were working on my outruns and my driving.Mom and I are entering into an AHBA sheep herding trial on march 28 so were were practicing! And next Sunday we'll be working more!!

I hope everyone has had a great week. I'm sorry I haven't been by to visit! Mom's work has gotten in the way of my blogging and my friends!!

Two days of Sheep herding!

I went sheep herding both saturday and today! Today was the BEST! Mom and I were really working on my outrun and today we were clicking as a team. mom was trying to stop me from over running the sheep at the lift point-and she and I did it! We practiced it quite a few times, and after mom telling me "there" at the back of the sheep, I continued to do it properly! Everyone cheered the first time I did it and mom put her arms up in the air and cheered....if she had only told me that was what she wanted me to do I would have done it months ago!!!

Mom took me to Ocean Trails this morning for a 4.2 mile runm bunny hunt and ball playing on the beach. No bunnies today but I did find a ball on the beach so Mom threw it to me for a bit before we headed back on the return portion of our run!

Mom and I had a great weekend! I'm tired now!!
