Ocean Trails with Mom

Mom and I went on a misty cool run at ocean trails this morning. I got to chase bunnies, sniff and smell lots of things. Met a bunch of dogs and of course chased my tennis ball at the beach! I tricked mom into going into the ocean to get my tennis ball. He he she got her shoes wet..she slogged back 2.5 miles to the car with wet socks and shoes!!

It was a fun run. It was messy because it was we but mom and I didn't care!

A friday with Mom

Mom is getting sleep! She went to bed fairly early last nite and slept until 730 in the morning! I'm letting her sleep because I know she needs it! And in turn we're doing fun things together! We went for a run down to the harbor today in the misty rain! Mom seems to love this misty rain stuff...I guess it's ok...as long as I'm with mom! She took me to the infinity pools and the fountains. Most of the times we're here, the fountains are dancing and it's scary-but today NO FOUNTAINS! So I was able to get close to the water!!!

A long weekend with mom

First of all...I saw my SHEEP this weekend!!! Woo hoo! Mom and I spent 3 1/2 hours herding on sunday! She said I was exhausted afterwards...whatever mom!!! I did great! And mom and I had a great time!!

Today, Mom and I went on an 8.5 mile trail run at ocean trails. The highlight of the run for me was getting the tennis ball thrown to me and the beach and stalking a bunny for 8 minutes! I didn't catch the bunny-but boy I got close to it!!

Mom goes back to work tomorrow and tuesday and then she has 10 whole days off!!!!

Watching squirrels!

Mom worked a very long day yesterday! She came home after midnight! But still got up to run with me!! But it wasn't a good run-we got about 2 miles in and mom noticed I was limping. So mom and I walked the rest of the way home.

I went to the park with my petsitter during the middle of the day. She noticed I was limping as well. It's not the same leg that got the shot! Mom thinks I might have jumped off the bed chasing my cat, Blossom, and tweaked my front leg!

But let's get to the most important stuff-the park! I chased my tennis ball and squirrels! It was a lot of fun!!! Did I say I love to chase tennis balls and squirrels?

Mom gets a 3 day weekend this weekend! I'm so excited!! We're going sheep herding tomorrow and sunday!

A busy thursday

Mom woke up early today to go running with me! She got in late last nite and didn't get a lot of sleep but she always wants me to get exercise and fun before she leaves for work! She worked a 14 hour day yesterday and probably another super long day today...that's why my petsitter comes in twice a day!

Today was a different kind of day. I was taken in the car to THE VET! I wasn't sure why I was there!! Mom wasn't with me...what was going on? I sat in my petsitters lap until my vet asked her to leave(I get very attached to my hoomans when I'm in the vet)...I was alone in the room...my mom had decided that I was getting the rattlesnake vaccine today! I go to a lot of places that have snakes(trail running and sheep herding etc) and since I tend to be inquisitive-mom decided it might be a good idea! It's a 2 part vaccine-part one is done!

After my shot, my wonderful petsitter took me to the petstore to get a special toy for being so good!! I got a new BALL! Imagine that! Then I went to the park to play! I didn't play long because I'm supposed to get a bit sore and tired from my shot!

I just now got back from ny evening visit to the tennis courts! Mom is still at work and will be until about midnight! But I got to play and get out of the house to pee and poop!! I can't wait for mom to get home! She has one more day of work, friday, and then I'll have her for 3 days! And then she only works for 2 days and she gets 10 whole days OFF!! I wonder what mom has planned for our free time...maybe sheep herding or camping?? Maybe running, ball playing or just hanging out.... All I know-i always look forward to mom coming home from work!

While Mom is away....

I've been playing and touring and hanging out! I'm having a wonderful time with my petsitter! I've gone to the park, the courts, the park with Zoey, a trip to Redondo Beach and a trip to Starbucks, where I was found lounging on the comfy couches. Mom thinks I'll turn my nose up at her when she comes back!

We did have an earthquake yesterday. I was at the tennis courts playing and the ground started to move. The tennis court lights started to sway and so did the street lights. I was right in the middle of a game of Tennis ball chase when this happened. My petsitter and I stopped and stared into each others eyes...and then it was over. And I wanted to play more! Mom found out about the 4.7 earthquake after the fact...Mom you missed it!!

Mom left me...

Mom left me yesterday morning! She flew in an iron eagle to Tennessee to see her hooman son graduate. She left at 6am and to my surprise....my wonderful petsitter came and took me out at 7am!! Then she came back again in the middle of the day. The biggest surprise of all....she's staying the night with all of us!! For mom's entire trip!!

Mom is getting pictures of me and my wild escapades while she's away!! I'll show her! I'll have a wonderful time while she's away!!!!

My friday

Mom got in at 3am this morning from work. So she slept kinda late. But she had enough time to take me on a short run!

Mom is working right now but I'm at the tennis courts with my petsitter! It's our evening place! Today my German Shepherd friend, Heidi, is here too!! Mom and I see her and her mom out walking a lot!

Mom leaves me tomorrow! She packed a suitcase this morning and put it in the car! But my petsitter is going to be staying with us-overnight-so that we don't have to sleep by ourselves!! Mom is going to the Rocky Top state to see her hooman son graduate from high school! I sure wish I could go! But she'll be back on tuesday!!

I'm at the park again! Mom and I went for a 3.5 mile run before she left for her stoopid hooman job! Mom left at 1030am and a few hours later I was out in the sun at the park playing!! Mom is going to be super late tonight, so she wanted me to have a really nice day! And I have! Nothing better than playing with your tennis ball at the park!

My monday at the park..

Hi friends! I'm at the park and mom is working! My normal petsitter is back after her vacation! I missed her! She takes me to the park for squirrel chases and ball throws!

Yesterday I went sheep herding with mom! It was her mother's day present from me! My trainer is changing my training up a bit since we didn't have such a good showing at our first Intermediate trial. So yesterday I was put in the large arena with one sheep! And we practiced on me driving one sheep from one end of the arena to the other!

Mom was busy all weekend so I couldn't visit all of my friends. I hope everyone doggie mom had a great mother's day!!

8 mile trail run with mom

Mom woke up super early today, 5:30am. I knew something was up! And I was right. She fed the cats and got her running stuff on and put my harness on-I knew we were going somewhere!! We ended driving north into brentwood to try a new running trail. It's called Sullivan Canyon. We started off down the hill and headed into the canyon. Lots of new smells and mountain bikes. I've never really been around mountain bikes so mom and I would stop and let them pass. Did I say there were lots of smells. And funny poop on the trails-the poop had alot of berries in it!! It was a shady trail but warm-luckily mom had water with us!

When we got back to the car, mom and I drove to grandpa's house. We picked him up and he came home with us!! I love my grandpa!!

It was a fun day! I slept on the drive home and then took a nice nap when I got home!!!

It's Friday!

Mom went back to work today! But since she's recovering from being sick she took me to the park to play with my Jolly Ball instead of running! It was another beautiful day in southern california!
