Monday at the park

Another monday at the park! Mom is working today. But we had a fun weekend! I hung out all day saturday with mom watching football! Then on sunday, mom and I got up super early and drove north to Pt Mugu. We picked up my grandpa and drove to LaJolla Canyon in the Santa Monica Mtns. Mom was running an 11K trail race but I wasn't allowed to run with her! She started the race and ran away from me!! But I cheered her and was so happy to see my mommy cross that finish line! She gave me a big hug!!

Resting.....

It's another hot day in southern california! Mom is working out in the heat on an episode of Cold Case (I bet she wishes she was cold!) and I'm hanging with my petsitter at the park and my kitties at home! If only mom was here! I think next week I'll see a bit more of her!

Tennis Ball Tuesday!

One of my favorite things ever....my Tennis Ball! It goes with me everywhere I go! Today, we're at the park! When Mr Squirrel doesn't want to play, I always have my trusty tennis ball!

Hello up there!

My day at the park....I was watching two squirrels chase each other up in the trees when the squirrel being chased tried to leap from one
branch to another and missed the branch. The squirrel fell out of a tree and landed right in front of ME! We were both startled. Before I knew what had happened, the squirrel raced away!
Why didn't the squirrel want to play with me?

Digging to China

I had a special day today! My petsitter took me to Ocean Trails to play with my tennis ball at the beach!! I thought it was only mom who took me to Ocean Trails....guess I was wrong!!

10.7 miles with mom today.....

Mom and I ran today. We ran and ran and ran....we ran to the trails. We ran to the beach and then we ran home....Mom filled up our water once-so we drank alot on our long run! I don't think Mom had a good run! She was TIRED! And had zero energy! But we ran and ran and ran...... 10.7 miles...

Mom and I rested the remainder of the day!

9/11 and Happy Birthday Mom

Today we remember and honor the 2755 people who lost their lives 8 years ago...and my mom. It's her birthday to day!

Look who I saw today...

I went to the park today and look who I ran into at the bottom of a beautiful tree.....Mr Squirrel. He didn't stay to play long, at the bottom of the tree. As a matter of fact he darted up his tree pretty darn fast! But I did get to say hello and then I watched him from the ground!

I went to Grandpa's today!! There was some sort of cookout with yummy smelling food! I actually got tastes of yummy steak from Grandpa!!!

It was a fun filled afternoon at Grandpa's house! Jolly Ball Playing, tennis ball playing and STEAK!

Sunday with mom

Mom and I ran at Ocean trails this morning!! I chased bunnies on the trails and then found a tennis ball on the beach! Mom spent 10 minutes throwing the ball for me then we finished our run!

After the run, we went to Redondo Beach where Is at on concrete while mom had french toast! She did give me a piece of buttered warm bread!! I ate my breakfast when I came home!

Now it's nap time and hopefully tonight I'll go to the park at sunset, like I did last nite, and have my tennis ball thrown for me!!

I haven't seen Mr Squirrel today! Probably wont see him until tomorrow when I go to grandpas house for a cookout or Monday when i go to the park!!

Mr Squirrel, I hope you don't disappear from my bloggie!!! My mom and I have been so touched that a squirrel would post on a doggy blog!! Mr Bunny has never posted on my blog!!

Friday Follies with Mr Squirrel

Mr Squirrel, I guess the fires haven't chased you out of your natural habitat(the trees) because I see you up there! You comment on my blog but when I come to the park to see you, you race away!

Norwood plays with Mr Frog....I thought I, Ms Velcro, could play with my pal, Mr Squirrel!

I've tried to climb trees! I get as far as putting my two front paws on the bark and I get no further! Bark hurts my paws and I don't get a lot of traction! So I can't play with you in the tree, you'll have to come down to the grassy area!

If not today, I'll be back another day! One day we'll meet face to face! I know my mom has taken pictures of you-you have come closer to her than me! Why is that?

Thankful Thursday!

I'm on a run with mom at Ocean Trails! Mom and I are thankful for having each other, a roof over our heads, our family, mom's hooman son, the kitties, all of our furry friends, including Mr Squirrel and we're very thankful for the firefighters who protect the places we like to run!
