mom for 4 days!

My pet sitter whispered to me tonight when we were at the park, that mom and I are going to hang out for 4 whole days starting tomorrow!! I know mom has a session of sheep herding lined up for sunday and probably some bunny runs! I can't wait to spend all day with my mom tomorrow! Maybe I'll go to the park to play with my jolly ball? Or to find Mr Squirrel? Or for an ice cream? 4 whole days mom is MINE!

I saw sheep!!

Mom woke up darn early this morning! She started putting on her running stuff after she fed the kitties so I knew we were going on a run! I was hoping that it wasn't too hot-because it's been really hot here in southern California! We ran our normal 3 miler. She gave me breakfast and then she started getting ready to go somewhere....and she was getting my stuff ready, my HERDING stuff! Woo Hoo, I was going to see my sheep! it's been a few weeks since I've been sheep herding! Mom's work schedule hasn't been conducive to sheep herding. We had a 10:30 training session with Steve....when we got out to Phelan at 10am, it was already 90 degrees out! Mom knew it was going to be a scorcher! And it was!

The sheep arena doesn't have alot of shade! And the dirt gets hot...so I'd go out there and I'd look for shade along the fence line and pick up my paws! mom knew I was getting hot so she put me in the water tub after my first session! I'm not a big fan of the water tub-but today i was!! After some other sessions, I jumped in by myself!!

We worked on ranch skills today-sorting sheep thru gates etc...and then on my outruns and driving. My outruns are still a little too tight. but once mom stops working on GLEE, she'll have more time to take me training so that I can improve!

Steve said I did a really good job! He thought I really enjoyed sorting sheep! I'd just walk into the pen, go around the sheep and bring them out for mom. Mom is really the one who needs more training! She needs to improve her handling skills!

We left around 12:50pm. I was one tired cattle dog! I had a great day! I got to sheep herd and hang out with Sage, who is Steve's cattle dog! She's really nice and we get along!! She didn't like the sun and heat either today!

Mommy got me Ice cream!!

I got ice cream for national ice cream day! A yummy kid's size scoop of baskin robbins vanilla! it was tasty and cool, which was nice- because it's hot today!! Mommy went for a swim and brought back my ice cream as my special treat, since she couldn't take me to the hooman pool! I hope every doggy got ice cream today! have a great weekend!

It's Thursday!

It's still hot here! But I got to go to the park and have just come back from the tennis courts! A double play day!

Mom has one more day of work this week-then she gets to spend the weekend with me!

Mom has been working on the TV show, GLEE since February. The 13 episodes that she has been shooting will be finishing on the 28th July-do youi know what that means? I'll see more of my mom and she'll be able to help me visit all my bloggie doggy friends!!! She won't be working full time-so I'll be seeing a little less of my petsitter but more of my mom! My mom will go back to working on a bunch of other shows and then she'll be back to work on GLEE starting in January!

So I'll soon be able to visit all of you-very soon!!!

It's a hot monday!

It's hot hot hot here in southern california! I was very happy to have a big shady tree to rest under when I went to the park today! Of course I took my tennis ball! I'm actually out with my petsitter right now playing on the tennis courts, with my tennis ball! Life is good!!

It's mom's friday!

Mom is on her last day if work for the week! I'll get her for 3 days! I'm so excited! That also means mom and I will be able to visit all of my friends! Mom hasn't been able to post to all of my doggie friend's blogs from her silly phone! So I'm sorry if I haven't come to visit lately!!

Outfoxed by a Squirrel!

My petsitter took me to the park today and I saw squirrels! But it seems they were a bit faster than me! The one of was stalking climbed this tree and outfoxed me! How dare a squirrel outfox me! I'm a smart cattle dog! I would have gotten it if I could have climbed the tree!
