In the shade...

It's been super hot here in California! So mom planned my trip to the park before it got super hot! But I still searched out some shade! It's been in the 90's and 100's here! Way too hot!! Mom wishes the cool weather would come back!

A sunday 10 miler with mom!

Mom was very busy the past 2 days taking her hooman son to freshman orientation! So when she woke up this morning to go for a long run, she decided to take me! She originally wasn't going to take me since she was planning on running 10 miles-but mom wanted me to get exercise too! So she decided to share the run between me and her! We started off on the roads and then ran into Ocean Trails so I could chase bunnies!! We ran 10 miles but I got to run off leash after Peter Cottontails!

I love my mom!!

The Squirrel is out of reach!

Mom and I went for a run this morning before she left for work! I love my morning runs with mom! Today we did 3 miles and then I got my Kong filled with yummy goodness!!

The park was wonderful! Squirrels, Squirrels and more Squirrels to watch and chase after! I wish my mom could have been with me-but for some reason she has to work!!!

My trip to the vet and a GIFT!

My mom set up a vet appointment for me today! I had to get my rattlesnake vaccine booster and my rabies vaccine!

I was so good at the vet that I was taken to Centinela Pet supply to pick out a new squeaky toy! There was a huge selection! I narrowed my choices down to two: sheep and a cow(in true cattle dog fashion) and my pick......

The SHEEP!

I'm now going home to play with my new toy!!

Park time tuesday!

Park time again!!!! Mom is working, again! She should win the lottery so that she can stay home with me! But I'm very happy to have my petsitter who takes me to the park everyday!

My mom's brother has a big yellow Lab, named Banner. Mom just found out that Banner will be going to a Pittsburgh Pirates game next week because it's pup day! I want to go to a baseball game with my mom!! Mom's brother is in Pittsburgh working on a movie for a few weeks! Then.....Banner will be coming out to California to visit and play with ME!

Monday Monday..

Mom went to work! I stayed at home with my hooman brother and then got to go to the park with my petsitter! I was a little tired this morning from my big herding day yesterday! But I'm NEVER too tired to play with my ball at the park!

Sheep Sunday!!!

Mom and I didn't do too much yesterday! Mom got home from work at 4am-so mom kinda vegged! But today..it was all me day! Mom and I went running at Ocean Trails! There were tons of bunnies out this morning! And my friends, Alec and Fleet! We ran 4 miles and then we left to go sheep herding!

We had a 1030am training session with the sheep! We were the only ones there today! So we really worked on driving today! Mom had me go down to the end of the arena, away from her, and bring the sheep back! That was were we had trouble during our intermediate trials! At the end of the session, my trainer, Steve, went into the big field and brought the cows out!!! Mom and I got to go in with the cattle!! They are bigger than sheep! And they move differently than sheep! But I got in there a couple of times!! We spent 2 1/2 hours with the sheep and cows! I was so pooped afterwards! I slept the entire way home! It was a pawsome sunday!!!

At the park!

It's been awhile since mom and I have blogged! She's been busy at work, she's been sick and she was trying to save the life of a goat that was being kept by our neighbors! Mom fought a good fight-calling LA Animal Services, Animal Cruelty and PETA but because of the bumbled effort of LA Animal Services-the family was able to move the goat before it was rescued! Mom is VERY upset! But she tried so I gave her big sloppy kisses for trying to save the goat! You're the best mom ever! Because you love every animal!

A long run with mom along the ocean

Mom! I can't believe you took a picture of me doing peemail! I was chasing ground squirrels along the fence! They were all over the place! The ground squirrels live along this fence which is on a cliff overlooking the ocean! It's one of our favorite places to go! We ran 8.5 miles today!It started off cool and then the sun came out-so I was very happy that mom had a water bottle just for me! I was super tired when we got home and napped! Then I chased my kitties!

He he, Mom tried to do this with me the other day-she failed miserably!! It was funny to watch her!

I haven't done much today because Mom, grandpa and my hooman uncle were putting down floors in my hooman brothers room! He arrives on monday night and the room hadn't been finished yet-so they've been busy busy busy! I think mom and I will probably go for a walk! But I have been helping with all the stuff in the garage!

Yep, 2 days in a row I've been taken to the park by mom to play with my Jolly Ball! I like it when she doesn't work because she can spend all day with me!!! I wish she could win the lottery and stay at home with me!! maybe if she played she might win...MOM...go play the lottery!!
