Sheep!!!! I got to go sheep herding today!!! Mom drove up to grandpa's house and we picked him up and continued our drive up to Phelan, CA to Trails End. Mom and I spent about an hour and a half herding. We practiced my outruns and fetch, my inside flanks and driving! Mom has decided that our next trial will be at the Australian Cattle Dog Trial in Escondido in April. We'll be attempting Intermediate for the first time!! At the end of our lesson today, we went into the big field to practice my outruns again. Mom and Steve are trying to get me wider...don't they know that that is difficult because I'm a cattle dog??? But Mom was THRILLED!! I had great outruns in the open field and got really wide!!! We had a wonderful time today!! Thanks Steve and Julie for a wonderful day of sheep!!
