Mom decided she was going to get all artsy fartsy while I was napping on the couch today....when will she be going back to work. Enough of this WGA strike already!!!

Mom and I ran 3 miles tonight!!!

The Start of a Week with Mom, Again!

Well once again it's another monday-normally that would mean my mom would be going to work-but the WGA Strike is still keeping her at home with all of us!

Last nite we went on a short run-1.9 Miles (it gave me a total of 7 miles run yesterday! Mom and I are getting into great shape). But when we got home we were walking down the path and who did we run into but a raccoon! Mom kinda made a squeal and it immediately turned directions and headed toward me-let me tell you it looked like a stripped sheep! I so wanted to chase it~but mom wouldn't let me. I don't know why!

As you can see it's still raining here. Mom threw the ball for me today-I'm panting from the tennis ball wind sprints! I think I get breakfast now! Yummy! I hope everyone has a great monday!

How dare mom take pictures and a video of me disemboweling my froggie! She really must get back to work! Can't the dogs of the world unite and tell the WGA and the producers to hurry up and strike a deal so my mom can get back to work and stop constantly recording my every move!!! I was just having fun~she had one of those cats sitting on her lap so I decided the stuffing most come out of froggie~again~and what did she do.....recorded it! She was laughing-guess she thought it was funny that I was pulling the stuffing out of froggie! Maybe she'll buy me a new froggie now!!

A Sunny But Wet Tuesday

It rained hard last nite. Mom woke up around 3:15 because it was pissing down with rain-she likes rain. I like it as long as I'm not out in it!! So last nite it was great because I was sleeping!! But it was wet when we went out for our daily Tennis Ball throw-mom picked the Tennis ball today-she picked XXX...does that mean we're going to be on some sort of secret mission today? Probably secret mission to take more pictures. I really must stop this WGA strike so mom can get back to work and stop constantly taking pictures of me....but then she wouldn't be at home....HMMMM~I'll have to think about that! I think we're going to be going to buy more dog food and silly cat food today! Woo Hoo-that means I'll get to smell all those other dogs that visit Centinela!

A Holiday Monday Morning-aren't they all Holidays While the WGA Strike is on?

Well it's some sort of human holiday today-but that doesn't make a difference to my mom-everyday seems to be a holiday to her because of the WGA Strike. I don't think she's very happy about not working! As a matter of fact I think she's getting kinda pissed about it. She's now been out of work since the middle of November-but she still takes pictures of me and still loves me!! I guess that's what mommies are all about. She's crying today though-I just want to make her happy! Maybe a big kiss-a slobbery wet one! I think she's crying also because she was sitting at her computer and some email came thru from that ex-boyfriend of hers (who hasn't contacted her in over 4 months~who I did like but he's made my mommy cry way too much so woof on him!!) wanting to add her as a Plaxo Pulse friend-she started crying-he left her while she was at work and now wants to be friends...I'm sorry mommy! Lets go out and play with the ball it will make you feel better!! I promise-because it make s me feel better!! I think she might be up for a run this morning-maybe clear her head. A run always make s her feel better.

Friday morning.....

It's friday which means I only got tennis ball action-mom goes to Pilates in the morning on fridays while she's unemployed because of the WGA strike. But I have fun with my tennis ball-and that silly mom-she had her camera with her again. i don't think she leaves home without it!!! I'm becoming very used to the camera and now know when to pose! Maybe I could go into the film business like my mom!!!

How does the WGA strike affect a dog, ME!

Mom took me on a trip to Century City today. She was selling some concert tickets that she bought months ago for a concert in San Diego, Ryan Adams. I guess she really likes his music because she was really bummed she had to sell these tickets-but she told me that she couldn't afford a night on the town in san diego since she hasn't worked in a very long time because of the WGA strike. Now, you ask, how does this affect me, Velcro, the australian cattle dog.....well if affects me both positvely and negatively. The good thing, and ONLY good thing about the strike, is that mom is home everyday all day long! She hasn't gone to work-because there isn't any work! So I get to go to the park everyday, get to go for runs-everyday and mom gets to get back into shape!! But the negatives outway all the positives. Don't get me wrong~I LOVE having mom home! LOVE IT!!!! But at some point mom will run out of money, mom will run out of stocks that she can sell in an already horrible stock market..and then what happens. Unemployment doesn't cover moms mortgage, tuition for her son, bills,food, vet bills, dog food, cat food and gas....what will mom do? I hope mom will be able to buy the good food that keeps me healthy and happy and keeps my boy kitties healthy and happy! I hope she will be able to feed herself, her son and pay her mortgage-which is an important thing-our house!! I couldn't live on the streets or in a car! Where would I stretch out???

When we were in Century City today~we drove by 20th Century Fox-that's when mom took those pictures of all the writers outside the lot picketing....do the writers not know that they have caused my mom to lose all her work! She spent half the month of November unemployed and was lucky to pick up a few days on features in December-but 5 days out of 31 days don't pay moms' bills.....and here we are in january. I've gone to the park alot-but mom hasn't worked at all! NOTHING!!! I want my mom to make money and work so she can take me to the herding events and herding...if this continues~I'll have to stop sheep herding on sundays~this sucks for a dog!!! Imagine what it must be like for my MOM!
